CAMERON SCHOOL is located in the heart of a neighborhood rich in history and tradition. Being within walking distance of Riverfront Park, the Historic Second Avenue District, Historic Trimble Bottom, Fort Nashborough, Nashville Academy Theatre, Cumberland Science Museum and the State Capital allows Cameron students to enjoy a wealth of enrichment opportunities.

In 1978, Cameron opened as Nashville's pilot Middle School designed to meet the unique needs of adolescents in grades 5-8. Today the school continues to provide programs and instructional opportunities unique to this age group. Rich in its diversity of population, Cameron offers the opportunity for children from different nationalities, ethnic backgrounds, race and socioeconomic status to come together and learn from each other.

Cameron's program is designed to allow adolescents the opportunity to explore and have a variety of experiences. Yet it does not neglect the academic or social needs that are so important for children. Click on this Statistics link for currents facts about the school. Also, download a current Cameron School brochure for more information (730kb)

  • Hallways Remodeled/Painted
